Before coming to Beijing Road in Guangzhou for a stroll, I was always afraid that the accommodation in the core business district would fall into a dilemma of "good location but poor living conditions": either the street was too noisy to sleep in all night, or the room was so cramped that I couldn't even open my luggage. It wasn't until I checked into Paco Hotel BeiJing Road Metro Guangzhou that I realized after three nights that it balanced the convenience of the old city area with the comfort that guests cared about the most, completely breaking away from my stereotypical impression of business district hotels.
It takes only 5 minutes to walk from the Park Front Station of Metro Line 1, without squeezing the crowds on Beijing Road Main Street. You can drag a suitcase filled with souvenirs and turn two corners along the old arcade lane to reach the hotel entrance. As soon as you open the door, the chilled horseshoe water handed over by the front desk first relieves most of the heat. When I checked in, I heard that I was coming to eat. I specially arranged the inner room type of the High Zone for me, saying "I can't hear the outside when I close the window, and I can sleep soundly when I'm tired of shopping". The handwritten food list was conveniently filled, which clearly marked the Wonton noodles shop and late night Congee shop hidden in the alley for more than ten years.
The moment when the door was pushed open, it was immediately caught by a sense of openness. The 35 square meter space had no redundant internet celebrity decorations, and the light modern soft furnishings matched with warm yellow hidden ambient lights, dispelling most of the heat from just three hours on the subway. The most surprising thing was the double-layer soundproof glass window. After closing it, the noise of Beijing Road outside was instantly filtered out as a faint background sound, and even the wind of the air conditioner was as light as white noise. As someone who has known beds for years, I fell into a deep sleep after soaking in the bed for a while. The 1.4-meter-wide solid wood desk is equipped with a full specification fast charging interface. I can organize the food photos I took for two hours that day, and my camera, phone, and power bank can be charged simultaneously without having to search for power strips everywhere. The 2-meter wide bed is equipped with a soft but non collapsing spinal mattress. After wandering the streets for a day, my whole body feels sore and swollen. After lying down for a few minutes, my tight legs completely relax.
The details of the bathroom are more reassuring, as the fully separated dry and wet partitions have been elevated to prevent the water from splashing into the dry area. The 24-hour constant temperature showerhead has stable and soft water output, and after taking a hot shower, even the fatigue of walking more than 10000 steps during the day has been relieved by half. The smart toilet comes with a heated seat, and there is no discomfort of being cold when sitting on it when returning to Nantian in Guangzhou. The anti fog mirror on the washbasin is always clean and refreshing when using skincare products after taking a shower.
The convenience of shopping and eating for three days exceeded expectations: walking 3 minutes from the hotel's side door into Beijing Road, and at 7 o'clock in the morning before the tourists arrived, you could check in one by one at the Bla Chang and Old Sugar Water Shop. Strolling back to the hotel at midnight, there's no need to take the dark path. Just take a few turns and you'll be downstairs, with a strong sense of security.
Previously, when I stayed at a commercial hotel in Guangzhou, I thought it was just a way to make ends meet. But this time, after staying at Paco Hotel BeiJing Road Metro Guangzhou, I realized that a good accommodation experience is never about expensive facilities, but about being able to come back from a tiring stroll and take care of yourself. The sense of security hidden in the old city area is the most rare small fortune when traveling to Guangzhou. Next time I come back to Beijing Road, I will definitely choose this place as soon as possible.Show more
